Let it snow... I don't care now

Use to be a time when it would snow and I just would hate those days because that meant that I would be having to drive in it to work or home.  When the snowing was considered a blizzard, that is when it was really tricky getting to work or home from work,. Mainly because of the condition of the road and trying to figure out where the road ended and the ditch began.  It would take twice as long to get to where your going and I would almost always have a headache by the time I got to work or home from just white knuckle driving.  Now.... it just doesn't matter if it snow lightly or heavy... I AIN'T GOIN ANYWHERE !!!

I just make sure that I listen to what the weather is going to be like and shop accordingly.  I stock up and make sure we all that we need and if we are stuck in the house for a week before getting dug out,, so be it.  I will just sit in my craft room, work on a project, drink some nice hot coffee and feel sorry for all of those that have to drive in it, like I did for some 30 years.  I now live the life I have been working for.... relaxed, slow paced.  LIFE IS GOOD.

Blessings and Joy

I really don't mind aging, because there are lots of times that I feel smarter now about a lot of things.  However there are things I don't like, the number one thing I don't like is the way I look now.  I have tried all kinds of lotions, potions, "secrets" and anything that I can afford to buy to try and backtrack on what mother nature has done to my face and body.  Well I think it is time to just accept it and turn my energy on other things.

I found this morning that I need to count my blessings and find job in what is around me.  So with that in  mind I decided  look around for the blessings and joy. Of course the #1 job and blessings in my life is having the greatest family in the world. One joy I found this morning that I really love is the retractable cord on my toaster.  I know that this sounds silly but think about it ... whether you store you toaster on a shelf or in a cupboard, you have to do something with the cord.  If you leave it on your counter you still have to try and keep as much of the cord behind or hidden someplace.  With my toaster that is the one problem I don't have to worry about, I just have to worry about where to store it.
